Savoury Tomato Clafoutis, a Fall Flatbread, and Entertaining with Friends

Sage & Arugula Pesto, Fig, and Prosciutto Flatbread

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: I love fall picnics! They’re so “Donna Hay – Seasons cookbook” (remember that one? I lost my shit when it came out). Now that the orchards are looking pretty dashing with all the leaves falling off and the landscape is turning into a copper-hued extravaganza, I think it’s time for you to pack some goodies and head out to enjoy the crips air.

I did this quick picnic with friends but obvi, brought some extra shit with me such as vintage cutlery and some wooden crates..crazy? Definitely! Pretty setup? You bet! You don’t have to bring all these stuff with you, but having a few cool items makes it so much cooler haha

Now, as for the recipe, have you tried a savoury clafoutis? It’s awesome. It’s basically like a quiche, minus the crust (which saves you a ton of time!). Loved how it looks with all the fresh veggies from the market.

Savoury Tomato Clafoutis and a Fall Picnic

I partnered up with the guys of La Crema and Out Magazine to serve this clafoutis along with some delicious vino. Not gonna lie, it was a pretty good pair! I know white wines are usually popular for summer, but I like them all year long. Just switch for something slightly sweeter in winter!

After the picnic we also managed to squeeze a little “long table” inspired dinner where I made a Sage & Arugula Pesto, Prosciutto, and Fig Flatbread. The cool thing about this recipe is that you can set it all up in a way that your friends will do all the work (teeheee).

Last but not least, we even made a little romantic dinner for two with a Roasted Pork Loin with Spicy Plum Chutney. YUMS. I mean, you wouldn’t pack all these things in one day, but we wanted to give you a few suggestions of fun things to do with friends or your love buddy.

Grab all the recipes over at OUT magazine! (plus more photos and a wine recommendation).

Enjoy the weekend!

In partnership with La Crema Wines, all views my own. Dishes are my own too, cute, yes?

The clafoutis looks amazing! Definitely going to try this! I got the feeling that they forgot to list the amount of flour you used though. In the instructions it says flour, but it’s not mentioned in the ingredient list, or maybe I’m just blind ;)

Thanks for pointing that out! Will check it! I only used 3 tablespoons of flour though. It’s very little
