Winter!…Well, Almost Winter.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely like everything about Fall, but since it started snowing today, I just felt like fast forwarding to Winter.

Don’t you just want to snuggle in bed – or by a fire – while stuffing your face with baked goods – and drinking like a fish – with no remorse and listening to warm fuzzy tunes? I know you do! and that’s why I have created the perfect mix for this post, well, almost. It would be perfect if it included a fire, but, that would be hard to do online….and you would probably sue me..and I would’ve burned your screen and you wouldn’t be able to see my blog and  your life would be over. True fact.

To start, play this:

My Friend Wallis :

Vancouver musician Crystal Dorval – creator of My Friend Wallis – is the master mind behind this “tropical-winter” odyssey. 1st great thing about it: she’s from Vancouver! 2nd great thing about it: it really makes you feel a little bit of warm sea breeze when you listen to her songs.

I highly recommend playing this while brainstorming or when you just want to have one of those “staring at nothing” moments. Real.Good. These are some songs from her album When The Blue Turned Yellow

The Most Succulent Popcorn:

Now that you are all set with some music. Let’s move to the eating part! YES, my favourite. I found this recipe for Thanksgiving popcorn via Food Blogga . WAIT, before you say ” Thanksgiving? that’s already done”  just keep reading and you will not regret it. This recipe is amazing, it’s so nutty and wholesome that it will seriously set you on hibernation…or a coma. Either way, it’s totally worth it.  Susan Russo, creator of the blog and the recipe has won a VIP ticket to heaven with this.

Alright that’s all for now. I just came back from Walrus Home {my new favourite store in Vancouver} and I shall be reporting back with some info about the great artists showcased tonight.

Peace.
