Tear it Off! by Nicholas Mottola Jacobsen

Tear it off by Nicholas Mottola Jacobsen

Sometimes art has very cryptic titles that need to be carefully dissected in order to get to the real meaning of it, but that’s not the case in these pieces by Nicholas Mottola Jacobsen. No fear of misinterpreting this one as the title is exactly what the artist has done; tear off pieces of drawings, photos, and illustrations to create a new work of art.

If tearing is not your favourite, what about shredding? I totally like it! I like both styles to be honest – they’re what I like to call “easy-on-the-eye” art, you know? the kind of art that’s simple and enjoyable.

I leave you with this last piece that’s probably a fave. Like a gallery version of the all-seeing eye.

I love this organized mess! Each piece is so strategically torn, but the 2nd one down is especially awesome. Thanks for sharing :)
