Mixed Media – Challenge #2

I have an addiction to mixed media – and no 12 step program – will help me. The only thing that will help me will be an ART CHALLENGE!

This week’s challenge comes from the inspiration of various artists{ by the way have you seen my 1st completed challenge yet? } They all have something in common – they create their own worlds by mixing and matching different images from different times, scenes and spaces. My goal is to create my own version of a trippy collage using various elements – no Photoshop involved, just my own hand job {? -ESL attack} ok.. just my pure hand-made labor! {sounds better}

I already hit the flea market in Vancouver and got some amazing magazine clippings – they are unreal!  When I was sitting on the floor – on this rather dirty market-  going through bins of old clippings and scrapbooks – I felt as if I was 10 years old and I was about to open my Christmas gifts! so excited, I am not kidding you. If this turns out  the way I want it, I will go back and get some more. Plus the whole thing cost me around $10 bucks – affordable art supplies? Yes please!  Also a bunch of friends on Facebook offered to give me some of their old, ancient magazines {apparently a friend of mine has a book from the 1800!!! which, I will not destroy, but will keep for myself}.

Here’s the inspiration for this weeks Mixed Media – Challenge #2.

As usual I have 1 week to complete this challenge and come back with the results {next Monday}, so who’s joining? – artists….start your engines!
