Have you ever been to an Instameet? (you know, where all of us nerdy Instagramers get together to snap photos of everything that pops in front of our lens). They are fantastic! Even if you don’t use Instagram, Instameets are a super easy way to network with peeps in your city.

You see, here in Vancouver we always complain about how people are so not friendly and how everyone is so clicky, but then again, we rarely do the effort to break the uh-excuse-me-do-I-know-you? vicious circle – so these kind of events are definitely a nice change! This month’s Instameet didn’t have a theme – but the sunshine alone was our inspiration (we feel like deprived lizards that need sunshine to survive).

I wanted to take so many pictures, but at the end – as per usual – I ended up chatting with everyone and left my camera tucked in my bag. Oh well, Spring is just around the corner and there’ll be plenty of Instawalks to enjoy – the gals behind this event are always super creative (last time they all went snowshoeing! So cool, yah?) so I cannot wait to see what they have in store for us.
