Fruit Salad with Dark Chocolate

Fruit Salad With Dark Chocolate

Alright folks. First off, let me start by saying that this is the very first post that has been entirely styled, photographed, and edited by me (so if you pin it, I’ll love you forever!). I am nervous. I am sweating as I am about to push the publish button. But it feels good! And now I am addicted to this. You know what else I’m addicted to? Dark chocolate – the good kind. And since lots of us are doing the whole #MarchWellness thing (’cause seriously, these winter carbs are gonna kills us!) I thought of doing a post for you and me – you know? – the sweet tooth kinda peeps. Best of all – it is healthy; packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and sex (also known as chocolate).

Let’s get to it!

Fruit Salad with Dark Chocolate-1

To make this mouth watering fruit salad y’all need:

– Romantic music – preferably bossa nova (will explain in a bit)
– Dark chocolate (75% or higher – no milky stuff! Don’t cheat)
– Bananas
– 1 Orange
– Unsweetened coconut shavings
– Blueberries

Fruit Salad with Dark Chocolate

Make it:

First, play some music. Chopping fruit, squeezing juice, and nibbling on chocolate feels so much more decadent when you have Brazilians playing in the background – also, I am strong believer that the taste of food is affected by our mood – so if you feel sexy, it’ll taste sexy.

Ok. Grab your naners, chop them up. Wash your blueberries. Toast your coconut shavings (put them in the oven on a tray for about 4 min at 350F, be careful! They burn easily). Crack your chocolate into little edible bits. And now, the best part, ready?

Toss everything in a bowl and squeeze the juice out of your orange. Mix it up and serve. Voila! Little bits of banana drenched in freshly squeezed orange juice, with a hint of coconut and the perfect bitter/sweet balance of ripe blueberries and chocolate. Yeah. Now go have sex. You deserve it!

Dude. It’s gorgeous! I’m going to try this. I’m trying to find healthier ways to feed my sweet tooth. It’s really hard because my husband’s hobby is BAKING.
