Creativity Found In Pens

Pens. You have them around all the time. I mean, they are pretty straight forward – put the tip on paper and write or draw. Pretty dull.

Repetition. Nothing new about that. What’s so funky about  repeating something over and over?  A bit boring, no?

Joan Salo found a way to turn the things mentioned above into neither boring nor dull creations, he turned them into a smashing festival of color. He uses pens on canvas to create striking paintings. Looks like colorful rain, doesn’t it?

Joan, I would kindly like to ask you for one of these beauties for my living room, for color therapy during Winter. In return I can share my sanity. Sounds fair, right?

I found these in: Lion Skeleton Blog

These paintings are very subtle and quiet but moving. Gorgeous and simplistic work.
