artforum excavations by Francesca Pastine

Francesca Pastine‘s Excavations series are right up my alley.

Using an x-acto knife as her pencil and the pages of artforum magazine as her canvas – Francesca cuts intricate shapes that layer after layer form her marvelous paper sculptures.

What do you think? Is it time to give that glossy magazine on your coffee table a make over? Look at the rest of Francesca’s work and get inspired!

Isn’t it great? And to think that it’s just carved magazines, so simple and so stunning!
