Alma Haser

Artfully eerie, no? In this series titled Cosmic Surgery (love the name!) photographer Alma Haser has morphed her subjects into faceted beings that – clearly – stand out from the crowd. I really like how she edited these portraits – the graininess and milky overlays remind me of old family photos but with an artsy twist. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that she’s been shortlisted for the Taylor Wessing photographic portrait prize – talent alert!

Seriously, wouldn’t it be WAY more fun if next time you take some family portraits you do something similar to Alma’s work? It’d be such a creative memento!
